AFFI recently released an online self-assessment tool to evaluate readiness with the Food Safety Modernization Act’s (FSMA) Sanitary Transportation of Human Food (STF) regulation. The FSMA STF tool was developed in collaboration with the Agricultural and Food Transporters Conference of the American Trucking Association (ATA) and reflects key provisions of the final U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s STF rule.
The tool generates a detailed readiness report and indicates where action may be needed by food shippers, carriers, receivers, and loaders to ensure their compliance with FSMA implementation. Upon completion of the self-assessment tool, a listing of food safety, transportation, and logistics-related service providers is generated, offering various entities in the food supply chain with solutions in each of these operational areas.
The cost of the tool is $199 for AFFI members and $495 for non-members.
The program was designed and updated in partnership with the Seneca Corporation, a leading provider of business process management solutions, with input from AFFI and ATA member companies.
