AFFI Releases Statement on FDA’s Extension of Nutrition Facts Labeling

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently announced an extension for the compliance date for label changes to the Nutrition Facts Panel (NFP).

“AFFI commends the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) decision to provide frozen food and beverage makers additional time to implement changes to the NFP until January 1, 2020,” said AFFI President and CEO Alison Bodor in a press statement.  “This additional time will help AFFI’s members, especially our small and medium-sized companies, make these changes and also lessen the financial burden of doing so.”
