Strengthen Your Voice with AFFI’s Advocacy Leadership Program
AFFI’s Advocacy Leadership Program is a year-long initiative that provides participants with the opportunity to refine their communications, advocacy and relationship-building skills for engaging with elected officials.
Overview
Members of the Advocacy Leadership Program will gain a better understanding of the policymaking process in Washington, DC, and learn new ways to engage with their congressional representatives on behalf of the frozen food industry. If you are looking to elevate your public affairs experience and build or strengthen relationships with members of Congress, the Advocacy Leadership Program is an essential offering only available to AFFI members.
Strengthen Skills
Participants in this program will receive guidance and support in becoming empowered industry advocates, leaving participants confident as they:
- Tell the story of their business and its local community impact
- Engage with members of Congress by visiting their office, writing or calling them
- Host members of Congress at their local frozen processing facilities
- Engage in grassroots activities, such as policy roundtables
- Understand and communicate the importance of the Frozen FoodPAC
Participants in the 2024 Advocacy Leadership Program tour the U.S. Capitol.
