How to Use Environmental Monitoring Trends

Description: As important as a facility’s environmental monitoring efforts are, data generated from its programs are equally valuable. Managing and utilizing this data to improve existing programs is critical both at a facility and industry level. Experts from AFFI Advantage Partner, Merieux Nutrisciences will share a novel program, “Lm Trendtracker,” to help members generate and analyze their environmental monitoring data.
Time: 60 minutes
Audience: AFFI members, food safety experts, sanitors, QA, etc.
Key Learning Objectives: Learn about “Lm Trendtracker” and how to participate in the program as part of an industry-wide effort to collect and analyze the prevalence of Listeria spp. in frozen food facilities.
Tessa Pritts is the Global Director of Digital Business Development for Mérieux NutriSciences. With over 15 years of experience in the food industry, Tessa Pritts leads product strategy and market research to better understand industry needs and define new potential services for Mérieux NutriSciences.
Dr. Timothy Freier is the Vice President of Scientific Affairs and Microbiology, North America at Mérieux NutriSciences. He is a food microbiologist with an extensive background in applied microbiology and food safety and has worked with trade associations on food safety. His work with trade associations includes the co-development of the North American Meat Institute's (NAMI) "Advanced Listeria Intervention and Control Workshop," a course he still teaches today. He is a member of AFFI's Food Safety Working Group on Environmental Monitoring and has served as a member of the Sackler Institute's Technology and Innovation in Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Working Group as well as chairperson for numerous committees within the Grocery Manufacturer's Association.
