Dr. Jasna Kovac, Professor of Food Safety at Penn State University

Dr. Jasna Kovac is currently a Professor of Food Safety at Penn State University. She obtained her Bachelor's and PhD from the University of Ljubljana in Microbiology and Biosciences, and earned her Postdoc from the Cornell University Wiedmann Lab. Her areas of expertise include food safety, foodborne pathogens, epidemiology, genomics, and food microbiology. She has conducted and been involved with dozens of research initiatives and publications relating to her areas of expertise.
